BUF Choir Stole Project

BUF Choir Stole Project

When

Work sessions every Wednesday at 5-6pm, followed by $5 fun community dinner (optional)

There will be no session on November 23rd.

Goals

Enjoy fellowship and friendship while producing 80 choir stoles by December 21st.

Process

Assembly line method, working in teams to cut, pin, sew and iron.

All skill levels welcome. Work will have oversight by team members.

Organization

Each Wednesday, work stations will get set up by 4:30 p.m. in the library.

Visiting will be accompanied by a progression of tasks for individuals and teams.

There will be a lot of repetitive tasks that can be learned with the assistance of team mentors. People with a proficient skill set for sewing will be assigned to one of our two sewing machines and have the added support of teams to iron and give a final overview of the final product.

Storage

All work related equipment and materials can be safely stored in our designated locked storage area. If individuals wish to store items please write your name on anything that you would like returned. We will need to finish our sessions and clean up before the community meal.

Questions

As our project coordinator it is my hope that we grow strong as a team and enjoy the process as much as the satisfaction of accomplishing our goal. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me any time. I value your volunteer time and will do my part to organize our time as efficiently as I am able.
